In My Paradise

In my paradise, I will be enough for you
You would love me as I love you
Our love would be violently romantic
Angrily tender, every day
Until eternity was through.
In my paradise, you would be honest
And though I may cry
You would lick up my salty tears.
I may throw punches but you'd throw them
Right back, at my chin, at my chest.
In my paradise, your nightmares would end
My arms would be strong
I could be the definition of world peace
To your inner beauty queen.
In my paradise, I would be enough
And you would be enough for me
So I wouldn't have to wish
For this paradise that will never be.

  1. Did you write this? I love it.... I used to write poetry long ago.... I have thought about posting some of my oldies on my blog.... if I can dig them up!

  2. Yes this one is an original. I plan to intersperse my work with songs/poems that speak to my soul as well. Thanks for checking out my blog! :)
